Michael Jackson was credited as “John Jay Smith” in the episode, and was not allowed to sing. Kipp Lennon did the singing part in the episode, but this is a recording the real Michael Jackson made for “Lisa,It’s Your Birthday”.

@iLuvsIjaee this is michael jackson singing, but the one they used int he actual episode is Kipp Lennon. they coudnt use michaels singing voice because of legal reasons.

No, Michael sings entirely by himself in this one. In The Simpsons, Kipp Lennon does the singing. Their voices don’t even sound remotely alike.

I don’t think you are understanding what I’m saying. Michael was not allowed to sing in the episode. He was only allowed to speak, so Kipp Lennon did the singing in the episode. This is the recording Michael did that wasn’t featured on the episode. Some other person on YouTube mashed up this version and the one Kipp sang on the episode. There are no real versions featuring both of them.

I know Michael recorded this by himself. The one with Kipp and Michael isn’t real. Someone just mashed up this version and Kipp’s version on the episode of The Simpsons.
