The diaries form the basis of the documentary directed by Douglas Gayeton. Molotov’s Alva and His Search for the Creator: A Second Life Odyssey is the first MiniMovie in a series of eight documentaries produced specifically for online video channels, iPods and mobile phones . America’s HBO network has bought the rights to first documentary made inside Second Life. Dutch producer Submarine has sold the television rights for the North American territories for the documentary Molotov’s Alva and His Search for the Creator: A Second Life Odyssey the first documentary to be shot in its entirety in Second Life to American broadcaster HBO for a substantial sum. The American channel will submit Molotov’s Alva and His Search for the Creator: A Second Life Odyssey for an Oscar in the Animated Short Subject category.
