These Bean cartoons are to comedy what cardboard is to cookies. The humour found in identifying with the live Mr. Bean is lost in simple crude cartooning and wishy-washy colors. Not even the occasional grunt from Atkinson brings these boring drawings and predictable story-lines to life. Not watchable, even by great fans of Bean or by children.

At our house, we LOVE Roan Atkinson, and if you do too, this animated series will be a wonderful addition to your family DVD collection. Each episode is like a small encapsulation of one of the ‘Mr. Bean’ movies.
I really like that Atkinson’s physical, slap stick humor and vocalizations are so well portrayed in this animated series. It is difficult to stay in a bad mood after watching an episode or two of ‘Mr. Bean The Animated Series’. Light and fun, Mr. Bean is a one-man, rubber faced and croaky voiced version of the three stooges!

I bought the complete cartoon series for my kids after having seen the story with the fly in his bedroom, on tv. I didnt expect to enjoy the cartoon that much. When I got them, I couldnt stop watching. amazing!!! I admired how they could really transform the real mr. bean in cartoons, his mimics, his way of moving around, or driving around… the stories are hilarious, not too long, and cool. not only for kids, but for adults too. have a nice good laugh

We have two boys, a 5-year old and a 4-year old. They love these DVDs.
I like them because the absence of dialogue forces our children to figure out the storyline. I also like the fact that the humor is family-friendly and that I don’t have to suffer through an hour of “I wants” after a Saturday morning cartoon fest chock full of commercials.
If you have young children, this is a great buy. The individual stories run about 5-8 minutes each, so you can moderate how much they watch without having to commit to a 90-minute Disney movie.
