Wollte mal youtube mit 1080p testen und was eignet sich dafür besser als meine Lieblings Serie “Die simpsons”. Diese Folge heißt “Auf der Jagd nach dem Juwel von Springfield” oder auf englisch “Gone Maggie Gone”. Beschreibung: Homer setzt Maggie versehentlich auf der Stufe eines Klosters ab, wo sie sofort von Nonnen aufgenommen und nicht wieder herausgegeben wird. Um Maggie zu befreien, verkleidet sich Lisa als Nonne und schleicht sich in den Konvent ein. Dort hat sie eine rätselhafte Begegnung mit einer alten Nonne, die ihr sagt, dass sie zuerst den Juwel von Saint Teresa finden müsse, um Maggie wiederzubekommen.

ART ONE: FREE TO CHOOSE Sandel introduces the libertarian conception of individual rights, according to which only a minimal state is justified. Libertarians argue that government shouldnt have the power to enact laws that 1) protect people from themselves, such as seat belt laws, 2) impose some peoples moral values on society as a whole, or 3) redistribute income from the rich to the poor. Sandel explains the libertarian notion that redistributive taxation is akin to forced labor with references to Bill Gates and Michael Jordan. PART TWO: WHO OWNS ME? Libertarian philosopher Robert Nozick makes the case that taxing the wealthy—to pay for housing, health care, and education for the poor—is a form of coercion. Students first discuss the arguments behind redistributive taxation. Dont most poor people need the social services they receive in order to survive? If you live in a society that has a system of progressive taxation, arent you obligated to pay your taxes? Dont many rich people often acquire their wealth through sheer luck or family fortune? A group of students dubbed Team Libertarian volunteers to defend the libertarian philosophy against these objections.

presented at the 2009 Personal Democracy Forum at Jazz at Lincoln Center. About 10 minutes of it is a minor update (rehash) of An Anthropological Introduction to YouTube, but the rest is new. The gathering may have been the highest concentration of amazingly creative and concerned global citizens I have ever been around. Hallway conversations were different than your typical conversations. Instead of lots of people saying, ‘You know, somebody should …’ there were lots of people saying, ‘So I did this, this, and this, and now Im working on doing this, this, and this and we should collaborate …’ In other words, it was a bunch of people blessed with what I once heard Yochai Benkler and Henry Jenkins call critical optimism. Nobody there was blindly optimistic, thinking technology was going to make everything better. They were all continually trying to figure out where we are, where we might be going, and the possible downsides and dangers of new technologies so we can use the new technologies to serve human purposes. In other words, it was my kind of crowd. Special thanks to Micah Sifry and Andrew Rasiej for organizing the conference.

En l’Alguna Pregunta Més? daquest dimarts us mostrarem la visita de l’Homo APM? als Premis TP de televisió. Us assegurem que no va passar desapercebut i se’n recordaran d’ell una bona temporada. D’altra banda, Josep Predrerol, el presentador de “Punto y Pelota”, s’enfrontarà amb les preguntes del “Pressing APM?”. A més a més, estrenarem la sèrie “The Borbons”, basada en “The Simpsons”, Risto Mejide valorarà lactuació de John Cobra, farem una nova edició de l’”Sputnik”, repassarem les nevades la país i escalfarem la prèvia del Reial Madrid-Olympique de Lió. Tot això i molt més, en un programa de 30 minuts.
